We built VibeVoice, so treat this as our view — but these are the cases where we would tell you to buy Wispr Flow instead.
Choose Wispr Flow if…
- You are on iOS. Wispr Flow has a mobile app; VibeVoice’s clients are desktop only, with WhatsApp as the mobile path.
- You want the polish of a well-funded consumer product and are not price-sensitive at about €15 a month.
- You dictate lightly and never intend to pay: their free tier goes further.
Choose VibeVoice if…
- You use Linux. Wispr Flow does not support it at all.
- You object to paying about €15 a month, or €148 a year, for dictation (list $15 and $144). VibeVoice Pro is €3.
- You want to upload long recordings for batch transcription alongside live dictation, rather than dictation only.

Is VibeVoice a good Wispr Flow alternative?+
On Linux it is the only one of the two that runs at all, and Pro is €3 a month against theirs. On macOS or Windows the honest answer is that Wispr Flow is the more polished consumer product and has the larger free tier, so if neither price nor Linux decides it for you, buy theirs.
Does Wispr Flow work on Linux?+
No. Wispr Flow supports Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. If you work on Linux this is the whole decision.
How much cheaper is VibeVoice than Wispr Flow?+
Wispr Flow Pro lists at $15 a month, or $144 a year billed annually. Those are net prices — an EU checkout adds 19% VAT, so a German customer pays roughly €15 a month. VibeVoice Pro is €3 with no VAT added, because of the small-business scheme. Over a year that is €36 against roughly €180 if they pay monthly, or about €148 on their annual plan.
Is the free tier comparable?+
No, and theirs is more generous for light use: about 2,000 words a week, where we give 30 minutes a month. If you dictate occasionally and never intend to pay, that is a point for Wispr Flow. Our free tier is meant for trying the product, not for living on.
Can I use VibeVoice on my phone?+
Not with a desktop-style client. There is a WhatsApp bot you can send voice messages to, which covers the common mobile case, but if a polished mobile app matters most then Wispr Flow has one and we do not.
